Alignment Pin Molds

Alignment Pin Molds

Keeping good alignment between the tamper head and mold bottom can be a maintenance challenge, and failure to do so results in damaged shoes and plungers, premature wear of shoes and cavities and lower quality product.

Rampf has developed a patented alignment system to manage this problem and prevent the costly results. A pair of robust steel pins mounted to the tamper head engage hardened steel bushings incorporated in the mold bottom prior to the entry of the shoes into the cavities. Any misalignment caused by wandering of the mold bottom during the filling cycle, or less than secure mounting of the tamper head, is brought in line, allowing the shoes to enter the cavities more cleanly.

This system can be fitted to many types of machines. Contact your Rampf representative to see if it is right for you.
